Greek Xenon Miniature Vase & Blackware Lamp
**First Time At Auction**
Magna Graecia, southern Italy, Apulia, ca. 340 to 325 BCE. A petite twin handled krater in the Xenon style with added salmon pink pigment depicting a band of abstract egg-and-dart pattern nested between a pair of double striations on one side and a nested sideways "S" motif also nested between a pair of double striations on the opposite side. A lovely example with a dramatic silhouette resulting from the high, angled handles and the globular body. Paired with this is an ancient blackware ceramic oil lamp with a circular body, a prominent spout, and a perforated nub handle, all upon a concave round base.
