A Greek black-glazed pottery fragment with a female face, 4th Century BC, the face is in relief and the base of a spiral handle gives the impression it’s part of an elaborate coiffure. H: 3 1/8 in (8 cm). Mounted on a wood block base. Ex estate of architect Paul-Henri Lapointe acquired in Paris throughout the 1940s-60.
