Green Cut Glass Quilted Pattern Decanter Possibly Bakewell
A finely cut green glass decanter with a quilted pattern and single neck ring. Likely an early American blown, molded, and cut decanter, possibly by Bakewell or Flint Glass; some seed bubbles can be seen in the glass; the hand-cut edges have lost a little sharpness; the glass feels very fine and silky; glass veining visible in the stopper supports the attribution to the Bakewell Glass Company.
Dimensions: 13" tall (with stopper) x 3 1/2" diameter
Condition: Exceptional, excellent condition; flea bite-size nicks on the stopper; signs of common wear, such as scuffs, to the underside.
