Green Serpentine Jade (3 Amulet Pendants on Gold Plated Brass Holders with Base) - Amulet

[ translate ]

Particularly attractive presentation of three ancient Chinese amulet pendants (carvings) made of Green Serpentine Jade on three separate holders of Gilded Brass which in turn are mounted on a rectangular base with a Bronze coating.

Two of the three amulets represent dragons, the third amulet the face of a mythological character.

The whole (including base) has a length of 24 cm, a depth of 3 cm and a height of approximately 16 cm (as the size of the individual amulets varies) .

The amulets balance loosely but stably on the gold-plated brass holders with gripping arms. The great advantage of this is that each of them can easily be held in the hand to study up close.

Even more: since they each have a drill hole, they can actually be worn as an amulet on a chain or cord around the neck for anyone who wishes. They therefore have both an aesthetic and a practical function that can be alternated at will.

The age of these graceful objects is probably between the beginning and the middle of the twentieth century. Apart from a few minor scratches and signs of wear, all three are in pretty good to very good condition.

The amulet on the left in the picture with the face weighs 47 g. and has the following dimensions: 6. 7 cm high, 5. 5 cm wide and 0. 5 cm deep.

The middle amulet (which is semi-transparent) depicting a wriggling dragon weighs 39 g and has the dimensions: 11. 6 cm wide, 4. 7 cm high and 0. 2 cm deep (so it is thinner than the other two) .

The third amulet (on the right) depicts two symmetrically placed winged dragons and one overarching dragon with an extended tongue that towers above the rest. This amulet in particular exhibits a wealth of fine detail and weighs 78 g. Her dimensions are as follows: 7. 7 cm high, 5. 5 cm wide and 0. 7 cm deep.

The whole will be sent to the highest bidder immediately after purchase with a Track & Trace shipment, and will be very properly packaged.
