Soviet Ukrainian artist. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Outstanding Odessa painter. Shpolyansky Grigory Efimovich was born on February 9, 1899. From 1936 to 1941 he studied at the Odessa School of Art. Teachers by specialty: Yu Bershadsky, D. Shatan, D. Krainev. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Participant in regional, republican and all-Union exhibitions. Main works: “Nakhimoviti” (1952) ; "The Connoisseurs" (1954) ; "Texts" (1960) ; "Partisan Nights" (1961) ; "Fishermen" (1967) ; “Collective agricultural shifts” (1969) and others. Opera by Shpolyansky G. E. “Connoisseurs” was reproduced in the USSR on postcards. The artist's works are kept in private collections and galleries in Ukraine, Russia, Germany, Italy, Romania and the United States. All works by Grigory Efimovich Shpolyansky are distinguished by vivid expression of the Soviet era, high craftsmanship and quality of painting and are very rarely found on the antique market.
