A large Silver Covered Beaker on Ball Feet

Augsburg, 1709 - 1712, Philipp Stenglin

Silver, partly gold-plated. Tapering cylindrical form with reeded rim on three ball feet, slightly domed cover with ball finial. The body and cover with hammered and chased borders: strapwork and foliage on matted ground. Hallmarked on base and lid (Seling 2007, hallmark number 1380, makers mark number 1880), master 1693, died 1744. Assayers mark. Height 25 cm. 707 grams.
