A South Indian patinated bronze group with the Hindu gods Shiva and Parvati on horseback, 18/19th century, ca 12. 5 cm. high, 8 cm. wide and 6 cm. deep. Shiva wearing a high crown and a chest jewel, holding a sword ('khadga') in his right hand and a shield ('khetaka') in his left, on his left arm the much smaller depicted Parvati, the horse with a feather on the neck, original pin and part of the tail missing (images #17-18) .
