Group of (2) Canada Geese from South Shore of L.I., both have solid wood bodies with bobbed tails and chain ballasts. The backs are lightly feathered with worn painted eyes. One has a skeletal line on top of back similar to decoys carved by Ackerly another L.I. carver and both bear the carved owners name C. R. Brown. Areas of early touch up. Provenance: Acquired by descent from Dr. George R. Brush, of the settling Brush family of Southold, Long Island, New York.
