Group of (2) birds carved by George W. Combs Jr. Tern in the style of the Verity family with V slit tail and the letter V carved on bottom. Curlew in the style of Cobb Island Va. Both exhibit George's knowledge of the birds and his life working on the bay. George is the twelfth generation of L. I. baymen his family helped settle Hempstead L.I. in 1644.
