Group of (2) cork body decoys
Group of (2) cork body decoys, to include: one drake Whistler; and hen Broadbill both of the Bellport, L.I. School. The bodies are constructed of pieces of natural cork nailed and pegged to a wooden bottom board. The heads are inlayed and were made without eyes. Both appear to be original paint. Provenance: Acquired by descent from Dr. George R. Brush, of the settling Brush family of Southold, Long Island, New York.
