Group of 4 Chinese Blue and White Snuff Bottles, 19th
A group of 4 blue and white snuff bottles from the 19th century. The group includes: 1 landscape scene with several deer and one deer on the bottom; 1 with two figures riding horses; 1 with a guardian lion, tiger and elephant; and 1 double snuff bottle with a dragon.
Dimensions are: the largest snuff bottle measures 4 inches tall X 1 inch wide, 10.16 cm X 2.54 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: The double snuff bottle has several chips to the bottom and glaze pops, 1 broken lid and 1 missing lid with the spoon snapped and stuck inside the bottle. The rest are in overall good condition.
Provenance: From the estate of a surgeon in the Washington, D.C. area. The items were acquired from various auction houses including Christie's and Sotheby's prior to the 1990s.
