Group of vintage ladies items including 14K Lorgnette, 10K Pencil Case, 14K Tissot Watch, 14K Pearl Earrings, & 6 Sterling Silver Pieces. 1st item: 14K folding spectacles or lorngette containing 2x lens. The spectacles are marked "14K" and have a gross weight of 21.00 grams. 2nd item: Ladies 10K pendant pencil case. The pendant contains a small pencil. The case is marked "solid gold" and tests 10K. The case is 3" L. and has a gross weight of 6.26 grams. 3rd item: Ladies 14K yellow gold Tissot wristwatch. The watch case is marked "14K" and engraved "Rachel Holton". The watch is 6" L. and has a gross weight of 18.21 grams. 4th item: Ladies 14K yellow gold dangle screwback earrings featuring 112 (2 missing) seed pearls. The earrings are marked "14K" and are 1 1/4" L. Gross weight of the earrings is 5.00 grams. 5th-10th items: Five (5) sterling silver brooches and one (1) sterling silver pendant each of which displays a floral or ribbon pattern and is marked "sterling silver". Gross weight of these items is 34.93 grams. Most items late 19th to early 20th century. Provenance: The collection of Gary Glesser of Loudon, Tennessee, by descent from his grandparents, Captain Hoyt and Rachel Holton of Toledo, Ohio. Hoyt Holton became, at age 17, the youngest captain of a Great Lakes Freighter. In the 1960s, Captain Holton participated in a 26-day Admiral Byrd Society trip replicating the explorer's famous transpolar expedition, during which he met the Pope and Soviet Premier Nikita Kruschev. Many items in the collection were brought back as souvenirs from that journey and other frequent voyages.

Condition Report: One of the spectacle lenses is chipped and seed pearls are missing from one of the earrings. Otherwise overall very good condition.
