Check dated March 26, 1861, Planters' Bank of Tennessee, Nashville. Signed by F. K. Zollicoffer (1812-1862 [Battle of Mill Springs]), Brigadier General CSA.

Check dated June 9, 1874, Merchants National Bank of Richmond, Richmond, VA. Signed by James A. Walker (1832-1901), as a partner in Stokes & Walker; Brigadier General, CSA, and Lt. Governor of Virginia, 1878-1882.

Manuscript bank draft dated June 22, 1854(?), Farmer's Bank, Alexandria, VA. Signed by Eppa Hunton (1822-1908), Brigadier General. Post-war he served in US House and Senate representing Virginia. Quite a bit of "ink burn."

Check dated February 13, 1880, Wilson, Colston & Co. Bankers, Baltimore, MD. Check written to Bradley T. Johnson (1829-1903) and endorsed by him on verso. Johnston served as a Confederate brigadier general and in the Virginia Senate after the war.

Check dated January 18, 1906, Mechanics' National Bank, New York, NY. Signed Joseph Wheeler (1836-1906), Major General (US), Lt. General (CSA).
