Group of Slides, Political and Battle Photographs, by Photographer David Rubinger

[ translate ]

Collection of slides with political photographs by photographer David Rubinger - photographs from battles, photographs of Israeli politicians and leaders: Menachem Begin, Shamir, Dayan, Arens and more. Photographs of elections, photographs of the struggle surrounding the evacuation of Yamit. Photographs from Yehudah and Shomron, Jews in Hebron, Ramallah and more.
David Rubinger (1924-2017) was an Israeli photojournalist, winner of the Israel Prize for media in 1997.
Rubinger took about half a million pictures over the course of his lifetime, and Alex Libek wrote about him that he became the "State Photographer." In a certain sense, he was David Ben-Gurion's "house photographer." Teddy Kollek, former mayor of Jerusalem said about Rubinger: "It's hard to express in words the feeling that you get from David Rubinger's pictures, if there's a feeling that does not loosen its grip on you with words, it is the insufficiency of words. To tell the story of Israel as these photographers do, would take entire volumes, and they would still miss the target."
This collection is being sold without copyright.
