Group of Three Miniature Portraits, late 19th c., consisting of a lady with a lace collar and hat, signed indistinctly lower right, presented in an incised ivory frame; and a pair of a Nobleman and a lady, signed indistinctly lower right, presented in incised faux tortoise shell frames, Lady- H.- 1 3/4 in., W.- 1 1/2 in., Pair- H.- 1 7/8 in., W.- 1 1/2 in. (3 Pcs.)
Condition Report: The The miniature portrait of the woman with lace does not show signs of damage. However, the ivory frame does have several areas of hairline cracks, particularly on the top left quadrant. Separation cracks visible on face of frame. The right side or proper left side of the frames on top and bottom show some yellow glue residue, possibly from previous repairs. Additionally, the interior metal portion of the frame has tarnished and looks like someone might have tried to paint part of it gold at some point. The miniature portrait of the soldier does not show signs of damage. The top left portion of the glass has cracked inside. There is one surface chip to the right of the frame. The miniature portrait of the woman with bible doesn’t show any damage but the frame could use a cleaning.
