Grzegorz Staniszewski
Graduated from the Faculty of Ceramics and Glass at the State Higher School of Fine Arts (currently the E. Gepperrt Academy of Fine Arts) in Wrocław, 1992. His works are included in the collections of the National Museum in Wrocław, the Karkonosze Museum in Jelenia Góra, the Shoen Palace Museum in Sosnowiec, and in private collections in Poland and abroad.
I had my first official exhibition in 1991. As a student of Prof. Małgorzata Dajewska, she invited me to participate in a joint exhibition at Galerie L in Hamburg.
Since then, I have exhibited my work in many galleries in various countries. I have worked in various fields of artistic glass: one-of-a-kind pieces, functional glass, architectural glass, and design. In my one-of-a-kind pieces, I used lead glass cast into various molds, then cut and painted. Later, I experimented with casting glass into sand molds. This was a period of fascination with hot glass—a molten mass drawn from the fire, still waiting to be shaped. Due to difficulties at glassworks, I began working with glass produced in an electric kiln in my studio. Grzegorz Staniszewski
