Work published in general catalogue. Guido Paolo Pajetta was born in Monza in 1898. In 1920, continuing his studies at the Brera Academy, he met Fausto Melotti and Arturo Carrera. With the latter he formed a friendship that would last a lifetime. In 1928 there was his first participation in the Venice Biennale, where he met Lucio Fontana, with whom he formed a very close relationship of friendship and mutual respect. At the end of the 1940s his art encountered a new stylistic change approaching the influences of Picasso, known during his stays in Paris, of post-cubism, expressionism with a retreat towards a greater painful interiority. On 4 July 2019, Miti e figures between form and color", an important anthological exhibition curated by Paolo Biscottini which traces the artist's poetics and overall production, at the Palazzo Reale in Milan.
