N.B. The German painter, graphic designer, and sculptor Günther Förg began making photographs in the mid-1980s. He is best known for large format images of famous architectural sites such as the Casa Malaparte on the Isle of Capri, the Wittgenstein House in Vienna, and Bauhaus buildings in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Förg presents modern architecture in an unembellished way, using unusual perspectives, asymmetrical compositions, and a grainy focus. The works in this portfolio include five architectural views and two portraits.
