Catalog Note:
The woodcut offered here is the first edition based on the use of the Swanli ink chop and the colors used. A later edition of this image was printed circa 1931 and typically marked with the Hand-in-Heart watermark and inscribed with the roman numeral I or II. A later edition of this woodblock may be found in the permanent collections of the New Mexico Museum of Art (inscribed II / 51-125) and the Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields (inscribed II / 47-125).

Sheet: 13 5/8" x 16 3/8"
Free sheet hinged. Repaired paper loss upper left corner (two areas). Repaired tear 1" top edge right. Crease lower edge center 1 1/4" and upper edge, right quadrant 1". Localized scuffs in margins. Toning to paper. Overall good condition.
