BIOGRAPHY:
Gustave Franeois Morin was born in 1809. Morin studied with Leon Cogniet, a friend of Theodore Gericault, in Paris and exhibited at the Salon from 1833 to 1869. He was the director of the Academy of Drawings and Paintings in Rouen during the mid 19th century.
