The present work is being offered from the collection of Richard and Elaine Lieberman who collected passionately as a couple for over four decades. They were born and raised in New York City, where they lived through the Great Depression and World War II. Californians by choice, the Lieberman's still considered themselves New Yorkers at heart. Seeing the rise of culture, commerce and power firsthand in 'the city that never sleeps,' they were inspired to collect works that reflected the American urban experience and multiculturalism.
