H. Conquet Louis XV Style Marble Top Cabinet, 1880

H. Conquet (French, late 19th century). Marquetry inlaid bronze mounted rosewood veneer over mahogany cabinet in the Louis XV taste having a shaped marble top over a case having a central glazed door flanked by solid doors with twodrawers below, rising on cabriole legs. Having a metal plaque to the interior of the door "H. Conquet/25, Bd. des Italiens/Paris." Approx. h. 47", w. 56.75", d. 17.5". Provenance: From the Private Collection of Mrs. Phyllis Eastham ofAtlanta, Georgia.
