HAND CARVED WPA ERA MARIONETTE HEADS

These are 4 hand carved wooden Marionette Heads. They were done during and may have been carved for the WPA. They surely date from that period. They appear to be a Mother, Father and 2 Children. They were most likely part of a particular play but that information has been lost. They are mounted on a contemporary "make do" base for display. The largest head measures 6" tall and the smaller ones measure 5" tall.
