Hand painted Japanese Thousand Faces porcelain tea set, circa 1925, comprising a teapot, a covered sugar, a creamer, (6) cups and (6) saucers, each piece decorated with a black rim above rows of gold faces surmounting a colorful band including orange, green, blue, and red, apparently unmarked.
Provenance: From the Private Collection of S. Alan Hamburger, Atlanta, Georgia.
Approximate dimensions: tea pot (no lid) h. 4.5"
Condition Report: Teapot missing a lid, creamer having a glaze flake to spout, (1) 1/4" chip to the outside rim on one teacup.(1) saucer with a glaze flaw to the back, not distracting.
