Elegant round porcelain covered trinket or jewelry box richly hand painted with flowering branches, blossoms and foliage in soft pink, lavender, green and brown tones, accented throughout with raised gilt detailing. The domed hinged lid continues the elaborate floral decoration and opens to reveal a clean pale glazed interior. Finished with an aged brass-tone/ormolu-style metal rim, hinge and clasp, and raised on three figural cherub-form gilt metal feet. A particularly decorative Continental-style piece with strong French-inspired ormolu-mounted porcelain styling. Unmarked as to maker or origin.
