Index in both volumes, “Explanation of Foreign Words” and advertisement at rear of Volume II (ad soiled in Volume II, last leaf of index in Volume I also soil with corner tear and a small tear to text). Engraved allegorical frontispieces, 17 engraved plates, 9 folding engraved maps, large engraved vignettes (titles and frontispieces a bit soiled, a few maps with some separation or short tears along folds, else fine). Modern half calf antique, marbled sides, raised bands, burgundy and olive morocco lettering–pieces gilt. (Volume I title dampstained at gutter, occasional marginal dampstaining in both volumes).
