HEDDON KILLER WOODEN MINNOW IN SPOTTED FINISH
Made by Heddon to be sold by other retailers like Edward Tryon and VL&A, the Killer is considered to be an early “trade” bait. This is evidenced by the two sets of gills instead of three, and the South Bend-style blunt-tip props. It has a slim profile, as was typical of some of the underwater minnows made 1908-10. Nice hardware, good glass eyes, a sealed belly weight, this bait grades about Excellent Minus. The nice Zig-Zag border maroon box has a little staining and separated end flaps on the box bottom, so it gets a grade of Very Good Plus. From the Stephen & Christine Rebic collection. 3 - 3/4" Lure Dimensions: Box: 5 - 1/2" x 2 - 1/4" x 1 - 1/4".
