Two engravings after Cornelis Cornelisz. van Haarlem, 1588, from The Four Disgracers, very good impressions of the only state and the first state (of three) respectively, Ixion on paper with a Crowned Coat of Arms with Fleur-de-Lys watermark (cf. Strauss p. 763), each framed
smallest sheet (B. 259): 370 by 368mm 14½ by 14½in
largest sheet (B. 261): 425 by 368mm 16⅝ by 14½in

Condition Report:
With wide, square margins, Icarus in generally good condition apart from a few skilfully repaired tears (the longest measuring approximately 13cm, mostly visible verso), the horizontal drying fold supported verso, pale uneven discoloration and occasional fox marks, 'Ixion' in good condition apart from a made up area in the left margin (just affecting the text) and occasional tiny repairs along the sheet edges, framed.
