Chiaroscuro woodcut printed in black, brown and ochre, circa 1588-90, a good impression of Bialler's variant c, though the line block printing slightly unevenly in places, on paper with a partially visible watermark (presumably Three Crowns) (cf. Briquet 5097), unframed
sheet: 345 by 262mm 13½ by 10¼in
Condition Report:
Trimmed slightly unevenly to the borderline, the sheet thinly backed with Japan and restored in several areas, a few repairs in the figure and elsewhere (mainly visible verso), a few small stains at upper left, adhesive residue (?) at lower right, unframed.
