Engraving, 1589, a very fine impression of this important print, Strauss’s first state (of two), on paper with an indistinct watermark, possibly a Crowned Coat of Arms with Dividers (cf. Briquet 1164), framed

Condition Report:
Trimmed on or fractionally inside the borderline, in good condition, a vertical fold to the right of the subject split and repaired in places with an associated tiny made up and touched in area beneath Hercules' left knee, a few minute made up and touched in areas in the lower part of the subject and around the edges of the sheet, a couple of tears at the sheet edges, occasional spots of (unobtrusive) fibrous residue, framed.
