The complete set, comprising four engravings after Stradanus, circa 1577, good impressions of the first states (of two), each on paper with a Crowned Double C watermark (Strauss p. 763) and indistinct countermarks, each unframed
each plate: approx. 260 by 260mm 10¼ by 10¼in
each sheet: approx. 267 by 274mm 10½ by 10¾in

Condition Report:
With wide to narrow margins, Strauss 6, 7 and 8 trimmed on or just within the plate mark at upper edge, in generally good condition, with repaired tears at upper centre (just affecting the top of the subjects), occasional thinned areas and tiny losses (some supported), occasional repaired tears and losses in the margins, occasional areas of minor discoloration, faded pen and ink numbering in the right margins, unframed.
