The complete set, comprising nine engravings, 1592, good impressions of Strauss's fourth state (of five), on paper with Grapes watermarks or the Angoumois countermark, unframed
each plate: approx. 251 by 167mm 9⅞ by 6⅝in
each sheet: approx. 386 by 244mm 15¼ by 9½in

Condition Report:
Mostly with wide margins (trimmed slightly unevenly at left), 'Terpischore' and 'Euterpe' with small margins, in good condition, the plates with vertical printer's creases in the centre, some broken slightly and thinned, with occasional small areas of thinning and minute perforations in the margins, occasional pale mottled fox marks, occasional minor creases, a few plates with a pale fibrous residue in places, unframed.

'Euterpe' with a small area of tone (wash?) at upper left, probably inherent to the printing.
