HENRI GAUDIER-BRZESKA | A JAGUAR
HENRI GAUDIER-BRZESKA
1891-1915
A JAGUAR
signed and dated 1913 on the Artist's prepared mount
pen and ink on paper
25 by 37.5cm.; 9¾ by 14¾in.
Condition Report:
The sheet is adhered with an adhesive along the upper edge. The sheet undulates and cockles slightly in keeping with the Artist's working methods and materials. The left edge has been evenly cut and the right edge has most likely also been evenly cut. There are remnants of adhesive just visible to the upper edge at the upper left corner. There are faint creases to the sheet in a small number of places, most visible towards the lower edge. There are a few small flecks of foxing in places. The ink has slightly faded over time and there is probable time staining to the sheet. This excepting, the work appears in good overall condition.
The sheet is floated and held behind glass in a stained wooden frame.
