HENRY REENTS (1892-1983, American) Sand Dunes, Florida Artist

Oil on canvas 10 x 8 in, 14 x 11 in (framed).Born March 25, 1892 in Illinois (probably Chicago) to Henry and Johanna Reents, immigrants from Germany. Worked as supply clerk and ultimately accountant for Chicago Telephone Co. (later AT&T) in the 1920s-1940s.He studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and later settled in Michigan City, Indiana. Reents was a member of the Indiana Art Club and exhibited at the Hoosier Salon.He married Grace V. Stineman (1891-1979) March 30, 1937 in Chicago.Reents died August 13, 1983 in Broward Co., Florida.
