Condition Report:
The canvas has not been lined and is securely attached to a keyed wooden stretcher which appears to be the original. This is providing stable support.
The paint surface is clean and stable.
Inspection under ultra-violet light reveals scattered spots of cosmetic retouching, notably in the sky, including:
- a circa 10cm diagonal stroke in the palm tree in the upper right quadrant, also patched on the reverse;
- a 'T-shaped' stroke in the sky in the upper left quadrant, also patched on the reverse; and
- a circa 7cm diagonal stroke in the lower framing edge, to the right of the crouching girl, also patched on the reverse.
It should be noted these retouchings have all been carefully applied and are not visible to the naked eye.

This work presents very well and is ready to hang.
Presented in a decorative gilt frame.
