HERMANN GOERING''S COPY OF HOUSTON STEWART CHAMBERLAIN''S BOOK
The seventh volume of Houston Stewart Chamberlain's "Gesamtausgabe seiner Hauptwerke in Neun Banden" (Munich: F. Bruckmann), 1923, 800pp.. sm. 4to., bearing the ex-libris bookplate of Reichsmarshall HERMANN GORING on the front pastedown. This bookplate features Goering's blind-embossed name beneath an engraving of a knight, with his personal seal in the upper-right corner. Houston Stewart Chamberlain was an English "racialist" writer whose work greatly inspired the German "volkisch" politics that contributed to the rise of the NSDAP, and this volume is a compilation of his works. Shows some moderate rubbing and bumping to the spine and corners, with some foxing to the front papers, else very good.
