Hard-cover copy of Werner von Siemens's memoirs: "Lebenserinnerungen" (Berlin: Verlag von Julius Springer), 1938. 310pp 8vo.., bearing the ex-libris bookplate of Reichsmarshall HERMANN GOERING on the front pastedown. This bookplate features Goering's blind-embossed name beneath an engraving of a knight, with his personal seal in the upper-right corner. Very good to fine. WERNER VON SIEMENS (1816-1892) was a German electrical engineer, inventor and founder of the electrical and telecommunications conglomerate Siemens. His name has also been adopted as the SI unit of electrical conductance, the siemens.
