The case has scratches and nicks throughout. The back of the lugs show signs of wear. The case back has scratches and some of the engraved writing is worn. The inside of the case back has watchmaker's marks. The bezel has scratches and nicks throughout. The triangle on the bezel insert at 12 o'clock appears to be re-lumed. The dial is original and appears to be in good condition. The luminous plots at the hour markers are all present and have darkened with age. The hands show signs of wear. The minute hand appears to be re-lumed. The bracelet is stamped "70" indicating it is from 1970. It is also stamped with the Gay Freres emblem. The bracelet is a later replacement for this watch and has scratches. The chronograph function is working at the time of cataloguing. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
