HIMMLER HEINRICH: (1900-1945) Nazi German Politician, Reichsfuhrer of the Schutzstaffel (SS) 1929-45. D.S., with his initials HH, two pages, 4to, n.p., 29th October 1932. The document, in German, comprises three individually signed typed statements, the first by SS-Standartenfuhrer Heinrich Hoflich (1895-1983), dated at Munich, 28th September 1932, concerning the redeployment of the adjutancy of the 1st SS-Standard, and stating, in part, 'Instead of the previous Standard's adjutant, Sturmbannfuhrer Ostberg, I commissioned the former adjutant II/1, Sturmfuhrer Herzberger, pending permission, with the administration of the business of the Standard's adjutant'; the second statement is signed by SS-Stabsfuhrer Max Humps (1904-1962), dated at Munich, 4th October 1932, and states 'Based on my official experiences I consider Sturmfuhrer Herzberger is quite qualified for the business of a Standard adjutant. Therefore I request for a confirmation of the commission'; and the third statement is signed by SS-Oberfuhrer Richard Hildebrandt (1897-1952) and is addressed to Himmler and dated at Munich, 12th October 1932, also regarding the proposed appointment of Herzberger and stating, in part, 'I request to finally confirm the previous adjutant II/1, who managed the duties of a Standard's adjutant until today to our complete satisfaction, as adjutant of the 1st SS-Standard'. Himmler has provided his approval and confirmation of the appointment by initialling the document in bold red indelible pencil, adding the date 29th October 1932 in his hand. Willy Herzberger (1895- ) German SS-Sturmbannfuhrer, the second chief of the so-called Fuhrer Accompanying Command, Adolf Hitler's closer personal bodyguard.

Max Humps (1904-1962) German SS-Oberfuhrer whose daughter, Traudl, married Hans Hermann Junge, an SS officer attached to the Reichs Chancellery, in 1942. Traudl Junge served as Adolf Hitler's last private secretary from December 1942 to April 1945.
