HITLER YOUTH DRUM
Description:
A fine example of a larger Hitler Youth parade drum, 21.5 x 15 in. dia., its wood body painted white with a red flame motif. The side bears the plaque of maker "Sonor" with the label of a Bremerhaven music retailer, while the opposite side bears two metal hanging loops and a steel bracket. All tension ropes are present and intact, and the original heads are still in place, albeit showing considerable soiling. The paint shows minor wear and cracking overall, else very good.
