HITTITE BRONZE SWORD WITH CRESCENTIC POMMEL

Ca. 1200 - 900 BC. A bronze sword with a long, straight-sided blade tapering to a point. A central rib extends along the blade, with shallow channels beside it. The guard is broad, with vertical notches. The hilt has a cylindrical grip with a central lozenge moulding and ends in a crescentic pommel.
