Lot Essay
Created by Perpétuel in collaboration with Hoffman Watches of New York, the limited-edition Khaleejuna Waheed Collection, meaning ‘Our Gulf’, celebrates the cultural heritage and shared values of the Gulf states through six individually designed chronographs dedicated to the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Bahrain. The present six timepieces are particularly significant as the prototype examples, each numbered 00/00.

The Khaleejuna Waheed Collection is based on the mechanical Racing 40 chronograph and powered by a manually wound Seagull movement. Its stainless steel case measures 40 mm in diameter and 13.5 mm in thickness, while the aluminium bezel insert features a tachymeter scale that reinforces the model’s sporting character.

Each edition is distinguished by its own dial colour, national emblem and Arabic inscription representing a particular value:

- Saudi Arabia Edition: emerald-green dial, with the national emblem and the word ‘honour’ in Arabic
- UAE Edition: salmon dial, with the national emblem and the word ‘unity’ in Arabic
- Qatar Edition: burgundy dial, with the national emblem and the word ‘glory’ in Arabic
- Oman Edition: military-green dial, with the national emblem and the word ‘safety’ in Arabic
- Kuwait Edition: blue dial, with the national emblem and the word ‘peace’ in Arabic
- Bahrain Edition: red dial, with the national emblem and the word ‘happiness’ in Arabic
