FIRST EDITION, the panoramic view depicting "Saint Louis Mo. in 1865," and with plates depicting buildings in the city including the Medical Department at Saint Louis University, the Mercantile Library Hall, the Saint Louis Courthouse, and St. Louis University. EXCEEDINGLY RARE: American Book Prices Current traces no copy of this work at auction in the last 45 years. Graff 1922 (this copy, described as having 17 plates); Howes H-572 (calling for 17 plates); Sabin 32420 (not mentioning any plates); Streeter III:1867 (calling for 16 plates).
