Brass, engraved. Octagonal base plate with recessed compass and 4 hour scales. Hinged gnomon with hand designed as a bird, the bird's beak indicating the latitude. The underside of the plate and of the compass features information on the latitudes of various cities. Leather-covered case.

7 × 6.5 × 3.5 cm.

Leather, brittle and with losses. Button for closing the case, broken off.
