HORN-BOOK (The Netherlands or England?, c. 1750). Horn-book w. oak backing (15 x 160 x 90 mm including the handle, face alone 110 x 90 mm), w. italic capital alphabet, italic lowercase vowels and a stylized flower, all printed from a woodblock(?) on laid paper (90 x 70 mm), mounted under a horn plate fastened by lead-strips with iron nails, and with a hole in the handle. NOTE:In very good condition, with a small hole drilled in the left side of the wooden backing and a few minor stains on the horn and paper.
