[HOUDINI] GOLDSTON, Will (Wolf Goldstein, 1878 – 1948). Society of American Magicians Life Membership Certificate, Signed by Houdini. [New York], 1920. An engraved presentation certificate gifted to British magician and author Will Goldston making him Life Member of the S.A.M., indicating his card number as 182 and his Life Member number as 35. Goldston’s name appears at the center in fancy calligraphic script. The embossed red seal of the Society is affixed in the lower left. In the original presentation mat (browned), 13 x 15 ½”. BOLDLY SIGNED in ink by Goldston, Secretary H. Rea Fitch, and the President of the S.A.M., Harry Houdini. RARE; the only example of this certificate we have encountered or traced at auction, and with a bold and sharp Houdini autograph.
