Hal Wichers (1893-1968) - At the rice fields

Hendrik Arend Ludolf (Hal) Wichers (Tarutung, April 16, 1893 – Nijmegen, January 5, 1968) was a Dutch painter, draftsman and monumental artist. Hal or Hein Wichers, a member of the Wichers family, was born in the Dutch East Indies as the son of Hendrik Arend Ludolf Wichers (1851-1911) , lieutenant colonel in the East Indies Army. Wichers started painting in 1910, when the family lived in Renkum. He studied at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam (1915-1919) Wichers has exhibited several times in the Dutch East Indies and the Netherlands, including with the Nijmegen Community of Visual Artists Canvas size 47X92CM in good condition with a new layer of varnish. Moldings are originally in possession of some minor defects, these will be included free of charge within the EU. Out there without size. Work will be carefully packaged and shipped internationally by registered mail.
