Halachot Ketanot. Krakow, 1897. Handwritten Dedication by Rabbi Panet of Dej

Halachot Ketanotֲ by Rabbi Ya'akov Chagiz. Lengthy dedication on the title page by Rabbi Moshe Panet of Dej.
The dedication is entirely handwritten by Rabbi Moshe Panet of Dej, with his signature and stamp. There is an additional stamp later on the page, that of his son, Rabbi Yitzchak Yechiel Panet.
Rabbi Moshe Panet [1843-1903], the Av Beit Din of Dej, was a renowned tzaddik and wonder-worker. He was son and successor of Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Dej. He studied Chassidic doctrine under Rabbi Chaim of Sanz. He served as rabbi and Admo"r of Dej starting in 1845 and as Nasi Kollel of Zeibenbergen. Thousands accepted his leadership. Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua of Nasod attested about him that he had Divine inspiration. (Nachalat Tzvi kovetz 5 pp. 120). More material about him is included with this lot.
Rabbi Yitzchak Yechiel Panet of Dejֲ [1863-1940] was born to his father, the above-mentioned Rabbi Moshe Panet, and studied Torah with his grandfather Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Dej. He resided in Dej his whole life, and served there as something of an Admo"r. Like his father, he was also Nasi Kollel of Zeibenbergen. (Refer to: Alfasi, Encyclopedia L'Chassidut II, 407.)
