Egon Schiele
1890 - 1918
Halbbekleidetes Mädchen (Girl, Partially Clothed)
pencil on paper
48 by 31.6cm., 18⅞ by 12⅜in.
Framed: 80 by 62cm., 31½ by 24¼in.
Drawn in 1914.
Condition Report:
Executed on cream wove paper, not laid down and attached to the mount at all four corners and floating in the overmount. The left and right edges are deckled. The sheet is slightly time-stained and there are some scattered spots of foxing in places. There is a small square of speckled staining (relating to previous adhesive tabs on the verso) just in from each of the four corners, a small slightly discoloured surface inconsistency just in from the centre of the left edge and a tiny stain to the figure's proper left thight. There is a pin-sized hole to the lower part of the extreme left edge and one to the upper part of the extreme right edge. There is some slight undulation to parts of the sheet and a few minor handling creases in places. This work is in overall good condition.
