Half-Plate Tintype: Armed Union Officer
A proud portrait of a Union line officer, who sat for this large format tintype during his service. His identity is not yet known but we can see that he was what appears to be a Lieutenant based on his shoulder boards. He grips his officer’s sword and casts a confident glare towards the camera. Condition as shown. An excellent photograph in a desirable half-plate size, housed in a half leatherette case.
[Civil War, Union, Confederate, Antique Photography, Daguerreotype, Ambrotype, Tintype, CDV]
